Ashadi Ekadashi is a very big occasion of lord Vitthal celebrated in Maharashtra. This day, a huge yatra or religious procession of pilgrims known as Pandharpur Ashadi Ekadasi Waari Yatra culminates at Pandharpur, in Solapur district in south Maharashtra, situated on the banks of the Chandrabhaga River. Pandharpur is main center of worship of the deity Vitthal, a local form of Vishnu. Lakhs (hundreds of thousands) of pilgrims come to Pandharpur on this day from different parts of Maharashtra. Some of them carry Palkhis (palanquins) with the images of the saints of Maharashtra. Dnyaneshwar's image is carried from Alandi,Namdev's image from Narsi Namdev, Tukaram's from Dehu, Eknath's from Paithan, Nivruttinath's from Trimbakeshwar, Muktabai's from Muktainagar, Sopan's from Sasvad and Saint Gajanan Maharaj from Shegaon. These pilgrims are referred to as Warkaris. They sing Abhangas (chanting hymns) of Saint Tukaram and Saint Dnyaneshwar, dedicated to Vitthala.

#AnandBhate born 1971 is an Indian classical vocalist from the #Kiranagharana. He is popular for his classical singing of songs from the Marathi film Balgandharva  Anand was born in Pune, India in a family active in classical music. He inherited the singing tradition from his great grandfather Bhate Buva, who was a well known vocalist for #Thumri and #NatyaSangeet in the 19th century.

#Rahul Deshpande is an Indian Classical Singer.Rahul Deshpande (born 10 October 1979) is an Indian classical music singer from Pune, India. He is the grandson of #Vasantrao Deshpande. Rahul developed his interest in vocal music by studying the music of Kumar Gandharva. Initially, he sought guidance of Pandit Gangadharbuva Pimpalkhare and Dr.Madhusudhan Patwardhan.

 

#Mahesh kale is of the most popular singers in India. Mahesh Kale is an #Indian Classical vocalist renowned for his specialization in Indian Classical (Hindustani), Semi-Classical, #Devotional songs including Natya Sangeet. Mahesh Kale, after winning the 63rd National Film Award as the #Best Playback Singer, for the classical piece in the film Katyar Kaljat Ghusli, has firmly established himself as the face of Indian classical music of the new generation.

 

Shankar Mahadevan born 3 March 1967 is an Indian singer and composer who is part of the #Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy composing trio team for Indian films. He learned #Hindustaniclassical and Carnatic music as a child, and began playing the veena at the age of five.

Swapnil Bandodkar is a Marathi playback singer from India, popular for playback singing Marathi film and television world. He learnt the music from #KundaVaishampayan, #VasantraoKulkarni and #SureshWadkar. He was a contestant and winner of the first season of #SaReGaMa in 1995. His songs for Marathi films are very famous like #Morya, #Zenda, #Timepass, #LaiBhari, #Mitwaa and also #MardMaratha song from Hindi film #Panipat. Other than film songs he has sung many albums like #GhanAajBarse, #GalavarKhali.
