How to Get to Stintino and Asinara Island | Travel Guide from Porto Torres, Alghero, and Sassari

Planning a trip to Stintino from Porto Torres, Alghero, or Sassari? Follow our route and connect to the SP34 road, which will take you directly to this picturesque town. Upon arrival, take the roundabout towards the center and turn onto Via Cala di Rena to Marina Stintino - Porto Mannu, where you can park and find boats heading to Asinara Island. If your boat departs from Porto Minore in the town center, head down Via Sassari.

Asinara Island is renowned for its unspoiled nature, beautiful beaches, and rich history. Once a prison and quarantine station, it is now a national park with numerous hiking trails, diving, and snorkeling opportunities. The boat ride to Asinara usually takes 20 to 30 minutes.

Stintino, founded in 1885 by fishermen from Asinara, is now a popular tourist destination thanks to its stunning beaches and easy access to Asinara. On your return, head back to the main roundabout and turn right towards La Pelosa. Follow the signs to Alghero, Porto Torres, and Sassari.
