The wall of Sycamore trees is beginning to take shape. The first part (   • Arborsculpture - Weaving With Sycamores - ...  ) showcased the raw growth of the trees in the first few years after planting. We now see our hero, the arborist, beginning to weave the trees into a beautiful structure.

In nature, the branches of these trees will rub together on their own, which will eventually see them fusing together into one. By artificially encouraging these unions, the arborist controls exactly where this fusion will occur.

The trees are joined at a single point, in which one pilot hole is drilled. A single stainless steel fastener is inserted to provide support. The two branches will fuse into one strong branch.

In the end, these trees will unite and even share resources!
