in Indonesia, refugee communities in Indonesia are conducting their own advocacy efforts using campaigns, peace protests, and engaging with key stakeholders with the aim to increase human rights protection of refugees’ communities.

SUAKA has identified cases of threats experienced by refugees acting with their capacity in advocacy efforts. Therefore, we must address the protection concern for the refugees who act as Human Rights Defenders to enhance their advocacy efforts.

To accommodate the refugee community’s voice, we continue to give space to the representatives of the refugee community to share their experience in their activities related to Human Right Defenders.
