We can't understand others' desires clearly. So we have to add some words after たいtai( want to ) when we are talking about others.

In this video,I introduced んだってand みたい and らしい。
They are frequently used in daily conversations with close friends.

09:54 Some of you might feel bad, so sorry !! But we still have kind of "Not gender-free" expressions.
Actually "Otoko rashii"" Onna rashii" 男らしい、女らしいare usually used as compliments.
BUT "Otoko mitai" and "Onna mitai" are usually used when we are looking down on someone (not too much).
男っぽい(Otokoppoi)and 女っぽい(Onnappoi) are good words.
They just mean "masculine" or "feminine " and can be used for both males and females.

Actually, most people get information from SOMEWHERE😅 So んだってand そうです、んだそうですndasoudesu、のだそうですnodasoudesu, are frequently used than you think.
And Japanese people have tendencies to blur what we really want to say.So みたい、みたいです、ようです、ようなんです、らしいです、らしいんですけど.....are used in many situations. Plus どうもsounds really natural, like どうも......みたいです(doumo.....mitaidesu)or どうも......らしいです......
