Armory Arm Was the Only Card to Have It's Errata Reverted

Описание к видео Armory Arm Was the Only Card to Have It's Errata Reverted

Armory Arm was the first ever generic level 4 synchro, and had a really good OTK in early YGO, where if you equipped it to an opponents monster, and then crashed the synchro monster Colossal Fighter into your opponents monster, you could loop Fighter to burn your opponent after about 3 attacks. The reason this worked, is because Armory Arm has the effect to deal damage to your opponent equal to the attack of the monster that is destroyed by the monster it equips too. And Colossal Fighter can bring itself back from the GY if its destroyed by battle. This interaction on its own really isn't that big of a deal, but infamously it could be used with Rainbow Life to gain infinite Life Points.

So 3 years later in 2011, they nerfed Armor Arm with an errata, which changed how it dealt the damage, where it now checked the atk of the monster in the GY to deal the damage, which meant it no longer worked with Colossal Fighter unless you used 2 copies of it now, which basically killed the loop.

Then randomly in 2022, they reverted the nerf, and errata'd the card to deal damage based on the original atk of the monster, instead of checking the GY. The only time in the history of YGO they've reverted an errata.
