Israeli duo Infected Mushroom have led the global PsyTrance movement since the turn of the millennium, and fittingly, they’re slated to tickle the frontal cortex when they descend upon this year’s annual Dreamstate SoCal festival. To mark the occasion, they’ve tapped fellow Israeli producer Skazi to rework their own influential classic “I Wish,” as the centerpiece of the latest edition of ‘Part of the Dream’ compilation series, curated by the legends themselves.

Leading the way, Skazi steps up to the herculean task of reworking one of the psytrance genre’s most enduring classics, giving a fresh coat of psychedelic paint to the original’s iconic heavily FX-processed vocal topline. Alongside this, Skazi throws down punchy psy basslines, slinging textures, reversed piano stabs, and dark synth ripples, to ensure that “I Wish (Skazi Edit)” lands with maximum effect.
