Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced that the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) led government would transfer power to a caretaker setup in August. In his address to the nation, he highlighted the government's accomplishments, including clearing landmines left by the previous administration and transforming the nation's trajectory from hopelessness to hope. He emphasized their efforts in supporting millions affected by floods, providing relief, and restoring human dignity, national sovereignty, and individual freedom. The Prime Minister expressed gratitude to friendly countries such as China, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, noting that investor confidence was gradually being restored, leading to a stable rupee and a thriving stock exchange.

Shehbaz Sharif mentioned that his government prioritized setting standards and directions, focusing on the State Bank rather than the vote bank. He praised the efforts of COAS General Asim Munir for economic stability and emphasized the need to regain the country's lost glory. The government was working to facilitate investments in sectors such as agriculture, industry, minerals, and information technology, with collaboration between the government and the army. Initiatives like the farmer package of Rs2,000 billion, loans, educational scholarships, and laptops were being implemented.

The Prime Minister emphasized that the initiation of new projects would drive economic progress, and breaking the shackles of slavery was the way forward. He called on the people to stand at the forefront of this endeavor. Shehbaz Sharif expressed confidence in PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif's ability to lead the country back to progress, vowing to address terrorism, inflation, and load shedding as he did in 2013. He urged the nation to set aside hatred and unite for the betterment of the country.

The accountability court has extended the interim bail of PTI Chairman Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi in the 190 million pounds Al-Qadir Trust case till July 19.

The court also sought final arguments on the bail applications of both Imran and Bushra Bibi on July 19.
