Quick & Easy Abstract Painting Warm Up Exercise / Art Tutorial for Beginners & Experienced Artists

Описание к видео Quick & Easy Abstract Painting Warm Up Exercise / Art Tutorial for Beginners & Experienced Artists

In this video I demonstrate a simple, fun way to let go and loosen up your art. This creative practice will help you get out of your head so you can simply play. This results in unexpected, spontaneous marks full of movement - and it's FUN! This exercise can be used on its own as a painting warm up, a way to try out new art tools or materials, as an art journal page, and/or as a painting starter.

I mentioned that Louise Fletcher does a similar exercise. Louise is an amazing artist and wonderful teacher. You can find more about her here: https://www.louisefletcherart.com/

And Steven Pressfield is indeed the author of The War of Art (https://www.amazon.com/War-Art-Throug...) and I cannot recommend this book highly enough - especially if you have trouble starting/getting back to your art practice.

Materials used: large sheet of mixed media or watercolor paper, acrylic paint, low-tack masking tape, Caran d'Ache Neocolor crayons, graphite, pencils, anything you normally use to make marks.
