It started as a quiet drive through East London.
Two friends Aaron Carriere and Josiah Manful cruised down Montague Road in Leytonstone just after midnight, possibly expecting a routine meet-up or a night out.
The streets were still.
They had no idea four cars were tailing them in the darkness.
No idea they were heading straight into a trap.
Without warning, headlights boxed them in from the front and rear.
Engines revved as four vehicles hemmed in their black Ford Fiesta on that quiet residential street.
In an instant, Aaron and Josiah were pinned with nowhere to escape. A gang of men leapt out and swarmed their car like a pack of wolves. Windows shattered under the blows of crowbars and bats. A moment of pure panic. Then came the kniv*s.
