Congress' singular focus on Adani-related issues is becoming a point of contention within the INDI bloc, causing growing discomfort among its members. The Mamata Banerjee-led All India Trinamool Congress (TMC), a key ally, skipped a meeting of INDI bloc leaders at Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge's office. The TMC, which wanted to address a broader range of issues in Parliament, including inflation, unemployment, the slowing GDP, the situation in Bangladesh, and unrest in Manipur, found itself at odds with the Congress party. The Congress insisted on limiting the agenda to the Adani issue, specifically the U.S. government's indictment of the Adani group in an alleged bribery case. Other parties within the bloc also voiced concerns, urging that issues like Sambhal and others be addressed in Parliament as well.
