How to Size and Build Switching Transformers | Testing a Planar Transformer

Описание к видео How to Size and Build Switching Transformers | Testing a Planar Transformer

In this video I go through the main calculations to size transformers for SMPSs and I build a planar transformer with PCB windings and test it on a half bridge 250kHz converter.

I didn't talk about the advantages of planar transformers to avoid making a boring lecture video. In general though, they are:
Lower stray inductance, compact shape and size, and ease during assembly, particularly for interleaving windings.
