A hot-air balloon arrives on an island known as Dinosaur Land, where Mario, Luigi, and the princess are taking a vacation. Mario finds a mysterious feather and brandishes a cape after picking up the feather. He and Luigi decided to test their capes out and go flying around the island for a little while, unaware that the princess is still left behind with the hot-air balloon. When Mario and Luigi return, the princess rides with Yoshi to see what the island is all about.
