DCC concepts Cobalt lever with the ESU Ecos, ESU Detector standard and a Tortoise slow point motor

The layout is currently going through a rebuild during 2023 but I’d thought I’d show a quick demonstration of a ‘work in progress’ signal box lever frame to be built on the layout.

This is just an initial basic set up to test the system works with the DCC concepts Cobalt lever system connected to a ESU Detector standard feedback module 50096, which is then connected with the ESU Ecos controller 50210, which is then controlling a DCC Tortoise slow point motor via a Digitrax DS64 decoder.

It’s great having DCC automation but sometimes it would be great to get hands on and control a section of track like a real signalman would do.

With the current set up I can either use the Ecos control panel as normal or if I want too I can just override the system with the Cobalt lever system.

Well it works so hopefully in time I can build a decent signal box lever frame.

Current set up -

ESU Ecos 50210 DCC controller
ESU detector standard 50096
ESU Ecoslink cable
DCC concepts Cobalt-S lever system
Digitrax DS64 decoder
Tortoise slow point motor Mk2 800-6000
