Townscaper | Shangri-La (Largest Build Yet!)

This is my biggest build yet! It's Shangri-La, the fictional, exoticized monastery from the book Lost Horizon. First, I built a mountain landscape with 6 large hills surrounding a green valley. I capped each of these hills with some kind of monastery/religious space, with castles, courtyards, towers, paths, arches, and everything else that makes Townscaper great. The whole complex contains regions for multiple denominations, each complete with multiple color-coded buildings for different uses. At the center of it all is a dormitory building for the residents to live in and from which they can access the rest of the complex. There's also a ritual cleaning step well area for the hygiene-minded visitor.

Townscaper uses procedural generation to make a minimalist yet medieval landscape of buildings, courtyards, and towers. It's an experimental passion project in which you can build arches, lush backyards, courtyards, stairways, and bridges. It's very relaxing.
