L/S taxi driving up to camera and stopping. M/S as performers Gene Detroy and Val Glen get out followed by their chimpanzee Marquis who is wearing a suit and hat. They walk towards Olivelli's restaurant. M/S of the taxi driver scratching his head in amazement and driving off. M/S as the three of them enter the restaurant, in the foreground two women watch with smiles on their faces. M/S of the three sitting down at the table, the chimp takes his hat off and hands it to a man. M/S two women diners watching. M/S as restaurant owner Olivelli comes up to table with three plates of soup. He puts them down and the chimp starts straight away. C/U Gene eating, C/U chimp spooning his soup, C/U plate showing he has finished. C/U male diner watching. M/S as woman collects the plates.



Olivelli enters with three plates of spaghetti, he looks rather amazed then walks out of the picture. Various shots as the three of them eat, a waiter enters with three glasses of beer. The chimp picks his up and drinks. M/S Gene drinking his beer. Various shots of the chimp drinking his. M/S Gene and Val still eating spaghetti, whilst the chimp finishes off his glass and holds it out. C/U woman diner laughing. M/S as Olivelli hands cigar to chimp. M/S of Val lighting a cigarette. C/U chimp with cigar in his mouth Gene lights it for him. C/U chimp puffing on cigar then blowing. C/U Val smoking cigarette. C/U chimp puffing away at cigar. C/U Val. L/S all three smoking.
