Republic Steel Company founded in 1899 was the closest steel mill to the house that I grew up in. My grandfather, father, and uncles also lived near this steel mill in the Lansingville neighborhood. Stop 5 was on Poland Ave. This was an entrance to the mill. The Little Steel Strike of 1937 got violent in Youngstown, Ohio at the Stop 5 entrance. When I exited the area after doing this video, I was near that well known gate entrance. The "Old Timers" will remember this area.
