Have you ever fallen into the trap of limiting to only being good at one thing yourself because someone labeled you as just a “boxer” or just and “MMA fighter”? You know that saying, “you learn something new every day”? If that’s all you ever learn, that’s only 365 new things a year, and you’re selling yourself short. What I’m getting at is this: MMA fighters should also be students of boxing. They should excel at boxing. They should be able to compete with boxers.

This is only controversial if you have bought into the mystique built up around boxing: that it’s an exclusive club that operates on invitation only. No. Skill in all combat sports operated on the eternal principle of “get out there and train.”
