Ryobi Catcher No.3 Locomotive - made in Japan circa 1977 - Fixed skirted spool fishing reel.
One of my favourite reels here, one which I do use for light sea fishing occasionally. Marked by its use of a bale bumper as one of the first wave of skirted spool reels which came out of Japan in the 1970s (the second wave all had less bumpy internal trips), this is an excellent reel and picking it up it is immediately obvious that it is better than equivalent Daiwas and Olympics of the same period.
