The Ganapathi Visarjan generally called as "Gowri" in the southern part of Coorg virajpet town.. It has a vast history of about 50 years and takes place at every year in the month of August Or September..

The event is so well organized that every street in Virajpet has th eir own committee which decides the proceedings of this grand event comprising of about 22 Ganapathi idols from different streets of the town.

Each Ganapathi idols from various streets are made into processions with huge lighting arrangements and DJ..This starts from evening 6pm to the next day around 9am..

Huge gathering from various parts of the state to witness this mega event..
