For the first time ever, I walked and spent hours on top of the frozen Yukon River, a river that flows powerfully through Alaska’s breathtaking landscape — now transformed into a world of ice, snow, and towering frozen formations that felt like ice mountains. We spent about 3 unforgettable hours ice fishing right on the frozen river, surrounded by endless white scenery, crisp air, and pure silence broken only by laughter and the sound of drilling through ice. It felt surreal — almost unbelievable — standing on a river that normally flows with such force. As if that wasn’t enough, I also got to experience snow machine (snowmobile) rides, gliding across the snow-covered landscape.
