This video discusses some options with a hand mold and cast for a plastic vacuum forming process.

This is an example of a client demonstration for a mold and cast part for a vacuum forming machine. The cast part will be made by hand and will produce the mold on top – the part that will be vacuum formed. Features used and considered is the shell feature - feature fillets (a sharp corner will create its own fillet on top – smaller fillet on the inside), section tool to see inside with various options – direction and pull, sketch text so that the part has a label in the modeling area.

Design Sketches are used to drive the model geometry while. Then we’ll create a driven sketch with driven dimensions that will be used specifically for a drawing file that you’ll want to create. The driven sketch will have annotations that will be capitalized – a requirement for a drawing file like this – and is parametric to the base model. The sketches for the drawing are labeled in the feature manager.
