Welcome to No-Box Art Box! If you've never heard of the challenge, the rules are quite simple, and I've listed them right below this paragraph. Step 1: Pick a past art/craft subscription box and look up the contents.

Step 2: Match the supplies as close as possible using supplies you already own. Exact matches are fine as long as they didn't come out of the exact box you're replicating. (From another box / already owned before / re-purchased since are all fair game.)

Step 3: Make art! If the original box had a challenge prompt or theme, try to stick to it. Only add essentials beyond the supplies you've matched, such as a pencil, eraser, and paper/canvas.

This time around I decided to do the October 2019 Basic Box from SketchBox, since I'll be getting the Premium box this month and I wanted to experience both versions of the same month. I've decided to make it extra hard on myself and only match using supplies I got in other previous subscription boxes. Below I will be listing the box's contents and prices, along with the items I replaced them with, including the box they came from and those items prices. Note that some of the October 2019 box item prices have been corrected since doing my initial research for the video, as I can now compare the items that are the same between both the Basic and Premium boxes and read the current retail prices off the Premium box card.
