Cyclone Asani nearing India - Live Update

Cyclone Asani remains fairly strong, with winds up to hurricane strength as it closes in on Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, India. The storm is expected to weaken as it moves slowly towards landfall, but tropical storm force winds are now expected to impact the coastline over the next couple of days.

At this point, the biggest threat from Asani is heavy rainfall, which can lead to flash flooding near the landfall zone.
