MANHATTAN, Kan. — The Texas women's basketball team took down Kansas State 80-52 to earn their 13th regular season title in program history on Saturday.

Shaylee Gonzales led the Longhorns with 21 points and Taylor Jones scored 17 points. DeYona Gaston posted 16 points and nine rebounds. Shay Holle recorded 10 points and five assists.

All-American Rori Harmon dished out 12 assists, her fifth game of the season with double-digit assists.

The Texas defense held Kansas State to 52 points, the 19th time this season the Longhorns have held an opponent to 59 points or less. Texas is 19-0 in those games.

• Texas improves to 23-8 overall and 14-4 in Big 12 play

• The Longhorns claimed their 13th regular season conference championship and first since the 2003-04 season.

• The Longhorns clinch the No. 1 seed in the Big 12 tournament, which starts next week in Kansas City.
