A symbolic sit-in and protest were held outside the Supreme Court of Pakistan by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and allied opposition parties. The demonstration saw heavy participation from National and Provincial Assembly members, lawyers, and dedicated party workers.
They Demanded:
Medical Urgency: Immediate transfer of Imran Khan to a hospital and a complete medical check-up by his personal physicians.
Prison Access: Removal of restrictions on family visits and legal counsel meetings.
Legal Fairness: Urgent scheduling of all pending cases against the PTI founder and the release of all political prisoners.
Democratic Integrity: Implementation of free, fair, and transparent elections across the country.
The protest was led by key political figures, including Leader of the Opposition in the Senate Allama Nasir Abbas, renowned jurist Salman Akram Raja, MNA Aamir Dogar, and various other elected representatives.
The participants emphasized that barriers to Mr. Khan's healthcare must be removed and justice must be served in strict accordance with the Constitution of Pakistan.
