1977 Peugeot Resto Mod Project

I started this project at the peak of Covid in 2020. My world has been through many changes and challenges since then. There were a few random parts I needed, and finally acquired, but this bike has been on the back burner for far too long. I basically rebuilt the bike with a mix of modern and original components. The parts that are new are: The tires, rims, rear brake cable stop, brake cables, chain, and spokes. Everything else is random junkyard parts I've saved through the years.
When I found this bike, I thought it was just way too cool to meet its demise this way....
What a journey!

Shimano hollow tech II crankset - non series used
Shimano outboard BB for hollow tech II crank used
Shimano Nexxus 8 speed internally geared hub/ with twist shifter and brake lever combo used
Random used MTB riser handlebar 25.4 mm stem clamp diameter
Misc. take off saddle
Shimano rear roller brake - spline attachment onto rear hub used
Shimano Exage front brake lever modified with shifter cut off to match RH lever very used
SRAM nickel plated single speed chain
Brake cables: stainless steel cables w/teflon lined housings
Problem solvers 44 tooth chainring and SS bolts - black
Used handlebar tape for grips
All other parts are original...
