Laser Radial Sailing - Starts & Upwind - Battle Royale - With Erik Bowers & Erika Reineke

This week, we send Erik Bowers & Erika Reineke loose on each other for some fun & friendly match-race style practice. Both Erika & Erika walk us through their every move as they work on setting up for each race, getting a good start, and getting to the windward mark ahead of their competitor.

Erik Bowers is a former Olympic level laser sailor who has been coaching at Lauderdale Yacht Club for 3 years now. Erik has many accolades under his belt, including recently winning the 2019 Melges 14 US National Championship.

Erika Reineke is a Four-time Collegiate All-American, Four-time College Singlehanded National Champion, 2017 Quantum Women's Sailor of the Year, and the 2017 US Rolex Yachtswoman of the Year. Erika, too, is an Olympic level laser radial sailor who has been coaching at Lauderdale Yacht Club many years now.
