Palakkad: There has been no department-level action against most of the the accused in the cases registered by the Vigilance on corruption in Malabar Cements. The Vigilance report saying that if the accused remained in service, it may affect the investigation, was ignored by the industries department. Former MD Padmakumar was the only person to be suspended from service.
