Today I'm up at another Honey Farms (formerly Timewise) owned Exxon Gas Station in Katy TX off S Mason Rd & Provincial Blvd where we have an older Ryko SoftGloss XS2 to check out today.

These older Ryko XS systems have been getting harder and harder to find these days, especially in working condition, so it's nice to find this old system. This is a later model XS2 since it has the rocker blasters on each side that even carried over into the 1st generation SoftGloss Maxx, and this system in particular from what I can tell is likely original to the gas station, though I can't really confirm that (for all we know this may have replaced an older system, likely a Ryko SoftGloss XS1 or a Laserwash 4000).

I did buy the top dollar wash for this video which came out to $14 (a bit pricey for an old system like this) and wash quality I would give this a 8/10, the undercarriage wash was alright (not very powerful unfortunately, but that seems to be the case with a lot of these Ryko SoftGloss systems), the prewash cycle with the rocker blasters did do a good job, the tri-foam gave a very good coating (even if one of the colors was missing), though I think the tri-foam was applied better than the presoak, the soft touch cycle did go well, and like many of these Ryko SoftGloss systems was a little bit on the aggressive side, but all 4 brushes (which were weirdly different colors and materials) and the top brush did profile the vehicle pretty well for the most part, the lava wax application from the retrofitted Color Wave feature (definitely not supplied from Ryko) gave a "meh" coating of lava wax, the rinse cycle from the same application washed it off without issue, the surface protection and spot free rinse passes also were applied well, and the dryers were very weird as this comes with the Thrust Pro 2 dryers, but for whatever reason, the top dryer does not drop down, and that greatly reduced dryer performance, but regardless, all 4 of the blowers still work, but the drying performance is just an equivalent to a 2 producer Slimline dryer without the top dryer dropping down.
