This bespoke alloy is the hand selection of a very specific and distinct Nickel / Iron based alloy with the defined addition of Molybdenum stabilization AND increased percentages in both Nickel & Chromium content.

After 5yrs of making The ORIGINAL Worlds 1st INconel Alloy and many months prior researching various Nickel, Iron, Chromium & Molybdenum based alloys it was only a matter of time till the initial release of The Nickel Iron Alloy in March of 2024. The Ni Alloy is Vibrant and Punctual in every last note with a touch of Dryness & Warmth to round out its beautiful sonic character.

The origin

This alloy was a 2019 pit stop in my learnings on the road to what eventually became The ORIGINAL Worlds 1st INconel Alloy. In my education of what creates such a distinctive material, I became more and more familiar with similar Alloys and Superalloys that share many of the same distinctive chemical compositions in various percentage ratios. The Nickel Iron Alloy is the literal process of tuning a drum shell directly by its Chemical Composition.

Chromium: 18.00%
Nickel: 14.00%
Molybdenum: 3.00%
Manganese: 2.00%
Silicon: 0.75%
Nitrogen: 0.10%
Phosphorus: 0.045%
Sulfur: 0.030%
IRON: 62.045%

The creation of a new sonic color

The Nickel Iron Alloy is created with a Lowered Carbon level which opens its sonic vocality. The bespoke addition of Molybdenum stabilization delivers a distinctive emphasis to the inherent and exceptional sonic character full of Color & Punctuality.
