A film now from the collection of a now departed friend. Having seen my videos taken since 1985 he was inspired to go out and buy his own video camera and get filming. I have been digitising them and converting the Video8 tapes to MP4. This upload shows some of the vintage bus & coach action on the island of Malta, from a holiday trip he took in Septrember 1999. We see classic AEC, Leyland and Bedford vehicles hard at work. In a lot of cases they have been heavily rebuilt and you can see manual ex London Transport AEC SMS Swifts that used to be semi-auto when in London. This upload includes a ride on an ex LT SMS and you can hear the AEC engine thrashing away!
