A member of my Facebook group dedicated to Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) therapists who work with Postop plastic surgery patients, asked me the question 'What is the fluid that drains through drains after abdominoplasty? And where does it come from?'

So, I thought it easier to do a quick video to explain.

In this video I share with you what serous fluid is, where it comes from and if the fluid that drains out of drains, or fills a seroma, is in fact 'serous fluid'.

This fluid is the same that drains after liposuction after 48hrs - before then, it's called 'tumescence'.
