How To Set The Power Subaru Forester's Liftgate Memory | Hawk Subaru in Joliet

My name is Jim I'm one of the product experts here at Hawk Subaru. One of my most asked questions is ‘how do I set the height on my power liftgate Forester?’. So, what you got to do is open you’re going to come here to the left side of the dash, and what you're going to do is you're going to actually press and hold make sure that the trunk goes up. So that's your power liftgate, and once it's fully open, you're then going to hit the memory button and press that in. When we come to the back, what you're going to do is you're going to set it to your desired height. You're going to feel very very little resistance and when you get it to the height that you want to have it set at, you're going to find this button right here, which is the trunk close button, so you're going to press and hold that for about three seconds. It’s going to beep at you letting you know that it has recognized the height and saved it. So then go ahead and close it, and the next time you go to open it, that's going to stop exactly where you set it at. So thanks again, I hope this answers your questions and talk to you soon!
