Silhouette Essentials Roto - 06A Short Hair Roto [Boris FX rotoscoping]

This is the free version of Silhouette Essentials - Roto with Katie Morris, digital VFX artist and trainer. We look at another new shot for hair roto, this time discussing how to tackle shorter hair strands. Working with non-wavy hair is similar to more flowing hair, but there are modified techniques we have to use. Creating core shapes with tracking assisted roto is our starting point, and we then build from there. We look at further ways to customize the layout when working on shots with more layers and shapes.

When creating the shape, Katie demonstrates how spending more time on a single shape can actually save time over the complete shot.
