In this fun and thought-provoking session, we’ll explore how coding without computers can build the 6Cs—creativity, collaboration, communication, critical thinking, citizenship, and character—while nurturing a growth mindset in young learners. You'll meet Dory the Dragon, the star of "The Dory Code," a playful, unplugged approach to early coding and robotics that inspires curiosity and courage to try new things.
We’ll get moving in a short interactive activity—"Move Like Dory"—where participants follow directional code to navigate like our dragon friend. This simple embodied activity demonstrates how foundational coding concepts like sequencing and directionality can be introduced through play and story.
The session includes practical examples that challenge traditional methods and encourage educators to reimagine their approach to STEAM. You’ll leave with strategies to spark curiosity, build core competencies, and bring coding to life—no screens required.
