I didn't witness the accident, but I was almost involved in one for driving too fast in the left lane given the conditions. Personally I think the New Jersey Department of Transportation should have had that warning light truck further back on the highway, because where they put it on that curve in the road made it extremely difficult to see ahead of time in those conditions. The New Jersey State Police responded to the accident, and it looks as if somebody might have been doing the same thing that I was doing, driving too fast for the conditions, in this case, rain with low visibility. There are times like this that I get a little too confident in my ability to drive, as I literally have thousands of hours logged in racing games such as Forza Horizon and Gran Turismo. I can get quite arrogant thinking that just because I have experience in the virtual, I can use that knowledge in the practical; if airline pilots can do it, then why can't I.

This vehicle accident took place on Route 295 North (formerly 95 South) in Pennington, NJ 08534.
