When I first heard of Retroviurs towards the end of their Kickstarter project, I was very excited to see a new Descent-like game (The first in 13 years) emerging. The failure of the Kickstarter, to reach the required USD75,000 prompted me to contact the company and ask how they intended to finance the completion of the game, with a view to assisting them.

After some discussion, I decided to invest in the game: funding the final three months of development required to finish the game to a high standard, and get the Editor and Tools out simultaneously. Release date will in time for Christmas 2012.

If you are a Descent person, I hope you will dust off your joystick, and enjoy the game, which at the time of uploading, is playing very well indeed, in both single player, and online deathmatch. If you are a traditional WASD+Mouse FPS player, you're good to go: you don't need a joystick for this game.
