The evidence-based nursing process identifies a clinical issue and formulates the issue into a clinical question (hypothesis) that can be answered through research.
Choose one of the topics from the "Clinical Question Development Topics" resource and write 250-500 words, discussing the following:
1. Identify and describe the problem as represented by the PICOT question.
2. What population does the problem affect?
3. What is the intervention to address the problem?
4. What is (are) the alternative intervention(s) that is (are) used for comparison?
5. What is the desired outcome?
6. Is there a time involved? Is that time sufficient to answer the question?
7. Why would this information be helpful to members of the health care team?
APA style is not required, but solid academic writing is expected.
