The Rock's HERCULES WORKOUT REVIEW - Legs Workout

Описание к видео The Rock's HERCULES WORKOUT REVIEW - Legs Workout

So you want to know how The Rock developed his massively sculpted Half-God-Like Legs for the movie Hercules 2014? Well, then let's go.

Hey guys, it's me Derek, back to review The Rock's Hercules Workout Program - the workout program that Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson used in the upcoming movie Hercules 2014.

You can find full details of this workout program on a lot of sites, magazines, even the Rock's instagram, so no this isn't my workout program, I'm just going to go through it with you guys, give you guys a bit of an insight into the whole program. This vid will be covering the Legs workout.

Here's the break-down of this workout:

1. SEATED LEG-PRESS (3 sets x25, end with a Triple Dropset)
2. SMITH MACHINE LUNGES ONE-LEGGED (3 sets till failure!)
3. LYING LEG CURLS (3 sets x15 reps)
4. SUPERSET// WALKING LUNGES + LEG EXTENSIONS (3sets x15-20 reps)
5. ROMANIAN DEADLIFTS (3 sets x15 reps)
6. LEG ABDUCTOR (3 sets x15 reps)
7. LEG-PRESS SINGLE-LEG CALF RAISE (3 x 25 reps)
8. STANDING DB CALF RAISE SINGLE-LEG (3 x 25 reps)
9. SEATED CALF RAISE (3 x 25 reps)

What I like?
This is a very extensive, very intense leg workout, and by that i mean its brutal. Lots of volume and variation so you KNOW you're going to grow some muscle.

This workout does not involve any Squats because The Rock had a knee injury in the past, so this is actually a great workout thats catered for those with knee problems.

Does not neglect calves - you'll see very often calves are de-prioritised, with only 1 exercise per workout for them. Here, we have 3 exercises, 3 sets each, 25 reps each set.

What I dont like?
Need access to gym equipment so cannot complete this workout at home. Which isn't really a bad thing because truth be told, it's very difficult to develop the legs to their full potential, at home.

what I think?
This is definitely not a beginner's workout. This is for someone that has a fair amount of training experience. If you are a beginner or new trainee, I'd recommend breaking up this workout so you can complete the work, because there's definitely some good workout techniques here.

So again, a BIG thank you and a BIG shout out to Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and his trainer for sharing this workout and all other workout tips with the rest of the world.

Till next time guys... FOCUS!

Derek.
