Ingredients for Raw Papaya Stir Fry:
Raw Papaya – Half of a medium-sized papaya, peeled, deseeded, and chopped into small pieces
Cumin Seeds – 1 teaspoon
Green Chillies – 3-4 (adjust according to your spice preference)
Shallots (small onions) – 5-7, peeled
Grated Coconut – 1/2 cup
Coconut Oil – 1 tablespoon
Mustard Seeds – 1/4 teaspoon
Curry Leaves – A handful
Turmeric Powder – 1/4 teaspoon
Salt – To taste
Water – 1/4 cup
Extra Coconut Oil – A dash for finishing

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Prepare the Raw Papaya:
Cut the raw papaya into half. It might be a bit tricky, but trust me, it’s worth the effort! Raw papaya is not only tasty but also extremely good for your health.
Peel the skin carefully. Make sure your fingers are safe during this process.
Deseed the papaya and chop it into small, even pieces. This will ensure that the papaya cooks quickly and evenly.

Prepare the Masala:
In a grinder jar, add 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds, 3-4 green chillies, 5-7 shallots (small onions), and 1/2 cup of grated coconut.
Coarsely grind the mixture. This will be the flavor base for our stir fry.

Start Cooking:
Heat 1 tablespoon of coconut oil in a wide pan on medium flame.
Add 1/4 teaspoon of mustard seeds and let them pop.
Once the mustard seeds start popping, add a handful of curry leaves and stir for 5-10 seconds.
Now, add the chopped raw papaya. Stir well to coat the papaya pieces with oil.
Keep the flame on low, cover the pan, and let the papaya cook.

Add the Masala and Other Ingredients:
Once the papaya is partially cooked, add the coarsely ground masala to the pan. Gently mix it with the papaya.
Add 1/4 cup of water and 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder. Mix everything well.
Cover the pan again and let it cook for about 5 minutes.

Final Touch:
Add salt to taste and gently mix again.
Cover and cook for another 5-7 minutes until the papaya is soft and fully cooked.
Finally, add a dash of coconut oil for extra flavor, mix it well, and your Raw Papaya Stir Fry is ready to serve!
