I’ve used cameras from Insta360 to capture footage of my bike rides for years at this point. It’s an essential piece of equipment for me because I don't have a separate cameraman, so being able to get amazing footage riding by yourself is a game changer.

I used to use a GoPro Hero8 on the end of a selfie stick to film my rides, but the quality of the footage often wasn’t great, and the angles that I could use were very limited. So my wife bought me an Insta360 OneX for christmas one year, and it totally changed the way I capture my ride footage.

However knowing how and where to mount the camera to the bike can be a challenge, especially when it comes to riding in heavy traffic. The camera needs to be mounted safely and securely, and also not stick out the side of the bike too much.

So in this episode, i'll show you the kind of footage I get, show you the mounts I use and how to attach the camera to my road bike, and also give you a brief rundown on the Insta360 X4, and why it’s an absolutely key piece of equipment for me, and what I do for a living!
