Great catches can turn half chances into wickets and change the momentum of a match.

However, the correct landing techniques need to be practiced in order to safeguard against injury.

This is the rolling method and it is great for increasing the duration of landing, thus decreasing the force of impact. The roll spreads the force around the body and avoids a single point of contact.

1️⃣ Rotate, open up your leading hip to begin the rotation.

2️⃣ Catch, keep your hands soft and eyes on the ball to make the best effort actually catch the ball.

3️⃣ Roll, keep your arms relaxed and land on your non-leading shoulder and let your momentum and the rotation from step one take you onto your back to complete the roll.
