Abstract:
VM-based obfuscation is one of the most potent code transformations used to impede reverse engineering. In this workshop, we learn the inner workings of virtual machines and how to break them. To this end, we use symbolic execution to automate the analysis and reconstruct the underlying code.

The workshop is suitable for everyone who has basic experience in reverse engineering x86 executables and wants to deepen their knowledge in program analysis or code deobfuscation.
