Team Penske is one of the most successful race team operations of the modern era, but long before their notoriety in NASCAR and IndyCar, they made quite the name for themselves in the SCCA’s Trans-Am Series. Campaigning two Chevrolet Camaros, things didn’t always go as they had planned, but they made up for it with what they called “The Unfair Advantage”. Mark Donohue, Roger Penske, and the rest of their team became known for some of the most clever rule bending and cheating ever seen in motorsports. From acid-dipping body panels, to swapping numbers between cars, to dangerously epic fueling rigs, in this video, we explore everything that made Penske’s Trans-Am Sunoco Camaros legendary!
