Carl Vine: 'Semplice' for piano

Описание к видео Carl Vine: 'Semplice' for piano

This is the third of the four pieces which make up 'Red Blues' by Carl Vine and it was set as a grade 4 piece some years ago (not an easy choice!) and it was from teaching the piece to a pupil then that I got to know the whole collection. This third piece is - like the other three - in ternary form, though in this case the middle section is similar in tempo, texture and mood to the outer sections. This is a beautiful piece in a New Age style whose title belies the complexity of the pulse (the time signature shifts frequently between 7/8 and 8/8).
