KLR PANNIER RACKS

A video of the racks I built for my bike. I wanted a little more cargo capacity but did not want to fork out 200 bucks for a coupe of pieces of bent steel and some bolts. I did build them heavier than they need to be but they can be used to lift the bike up, or tie it down when needed, also I like to crash soo beefy works. One of the concerns I had when making these That I did not mention in the video is weight, when not carrying boxes I did not want the thing to still feel like a tank, but the racks only add 6 lbs over all, that includes the almost 3 lbs lost by removing the original plastic and steel toprack. Overall I am pretty happy with the way they turned out and I gained a lot of storage for longer trips. For panniers I used de-walt cordless circular saw boxes (30 bucks for both) they work pretty good for now while I save up and decide what I really want.
