With ideal material embers can be obtained in just a flash using this method. Notice I use only my hand to roll the cotton up with. I did this so I wouldn't generate any heat in the roll. I wanted it to be COLD for the board rolling. A true test of speed is with cold material before the board ever touches the cotton. As you can see, embers can be obtained almost instantaneously. Expect varying results when using natural material outdoors.
