Dodgy casinos, nightlife, little-known beaches & pretty nearby islands, bits of French colonial architecture, all set on a beautiful wide river mouth spanned by a very long bridge near the border of Thailand - yet a world away - in this remote frontier town. Koh Kong was under regular attack by the Khmer Rouge not all that long ago as it backs onto a massive range of endless hills & jungle which almost cuts it off from the rest of the country. Most travelers just whizz right on through, but there's a lot on offer here, not least a place to get away from it all.
