Schmidt was the only 16 years old (excluding Mckenna) that scored 30 goals last year in the whole CHL. He isn't ranked very high in the first couple of mock draft because of his 5"7 frame but I'm certain he will end up a top 25 pick by the end of the year.

He will played tonight for Canada at the Hlinka cup and should be a big part in their success during the tournament
